About Amy
Hi, I’m Amy. I’m a Registered Dietitian with over five years of experience, and I earned my Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition with a clinical nutrition emphasis from The University of Alabama. I’ve worked in clinical and hospital settings as well as long-term care and rehabilitation, where I’ve learned to tailor care to each person’s unique story. I’m credentialed as a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian. I value evidence as the backbone of my practice while approaching nutrition with curiosity and care. I’m committed to helping you pursue health and quality of life in a judgment-free environment.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science and humanity. I ground our plan in current evidence and practical strategies, but I never forget you, your preferences, and what works in your life is the priority. We’ll work together in a collaborative, nonjudgmental space to explore your relationship with food, health goals, and daily life. I embrace Health At Every Size and a holistic view that includes sleep, stress, exercise, and mood. My aim is sustainable change, not quick fixes, with clear steps and ongoing education so you feel capable of maintaining a long term healthy lifestyle.
Your first session with Amy
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history, lab work or biometrics, and the short-term goals you want to start with. We’ll talk about your reasons for improving health and nutrition. I am not the food police and I’ll help you feel at ease asking and answering questions. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet; together we’ll set 1–2 realistic next steps to get you moving in the right direction, with support every step of the way.
