About Amy
Amy is a Registered Dietitian with 20 years worth of experience in helping individuals improve and optimize their nutrition health. She specializes in counseling those with insulin resistance, prediabetes, PCOS, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, Gestational diabetes, and healthy aging nutrition therapy. One of her favorite subjects is also Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) data interpretation helping those to connect the dots between glucose, food, activity, etc.! Living with prediabetes herself, she understands the complexities that can come with living with a chronic condition. In her spare time, she enjoys testing out recipes of different cultures, hiking, and a serious game of scrabble!
Approach to care
I like to collaborate with each patient, learn about their journey, dig into root causes or concerns, and empower those to make healthy eating and lifestyle changes a simple and enjoyable part of their life!
Your first session with Amy
At your first session, look for a warm and caring personality to help collaborate with you to find out your background information, what you are hoping my visit can help you with, any signs/symptoms you are concerned with, review of medications/supplements, a thorough nutrition history, and at the end, set goals to help support you during our time together. We will review any challenges/barriers you may be experiencing and ways to help overcome those as well.
