About Amy

Amy Morel L'Horset is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical care, diabetes education, and health behavior change counseling. Her passion for disease prevention is both professional and personal, shaped by a strong family history of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Having seen firsthand the impact of unmanaged chronic conditions, Amy has devoted her career to helping clients take proactive, sustainable steps toward better health. She brings specialized knowledge in diabetes management, metabolic disease prevention, behavior change counseling, women's health, and intuitive eating. Amy also works closely with women navigating perimenopause and menopause, offering guidance and support tailored to their unique needs. Through individualized nutrition plans and lifestyle coaching, Amy empowers her clients to reach their health goals and feel their best—starting from within.

Approach to care

Amy approaches nutrition counseling with a collaborative, client-focused mindset, meeting each individual exactly where they are on their health journey. She partners with her clients to explore what truly helps them heal, thrive, and enjoy life. While nutrition is at the core of her work, Amy knows that lasting progress often involves more than just food. With advanced training in areas like blood sugar regulation, body composition, stress management, sleep health, and mindful movement, she offers a comprehensive approach to wellness that supports the whole person.

Your first session with Amy

Together, we’ll take a close look at your medical history, daily routines, lifestyle preferences, and health goals to create a personalized and actionable plan. Based on this foundation, we’ll set 1–3 realistic, measurable goals and develop strategies that support meaningful, sustainable progress. Each session will build on the last—reviewing what’s working, addressing any challenges, and refining your plan as needed.
