About Ana Maria

Hello, I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who graduated from Keiser University in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. With over twelve years of experience serving underserved communities, I have supported expectant mothers in accessing essential medical and perinatal care. While educating and coordinating care of patients with chronic diseases and experiencing a recent diagnosis of an autoimmune disease, help me to redirect my path and focus on nutrition to continue assisting patients in preventing diseases and managing the already existent ones using food as medicine. I have been working as a dietitian for 5 years, with experience in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth nutrition. I provide a unique and empathetic approach to nutrition counseling.

Approach to care

I help people find solutions to their nutrition issues that are realistic, long-lasting, and healing. My goal is to make eating healthier an easier choice. Through my own experiences and teachings, I have developed methods to teach my clients lifelong healthy habits to feel their best. Together, we will develop a program completely customized to you and your unique needs/goals. Resources such as meal plans, recipes, and cheat sheets will be provided as needed. I understand how overwhelming dietary changes can be. I am here to give you the support, education, and accountability that you need to reach your goals and maintain success.

Your first session with Ana Maria

In your first session together, I will spend time getting to know you and conducting an in-depth nutrition assessment. During this time, we will discuss your medical history, medication/supplement use, lab work, hydration/nutrition status, and any other topics the RD sees relevant. I will help you set personalized goals and develop sustainable habits, along with action items to complete before our next session. At the end of our first session, we will make a plan for our future sessions.
