About Anca-Maria
Hi, Iâm Ancaâa registered dietitian, nutrition educator, mother of daughters, doctoral candidate, and lifelong student of evidence-based nutrition. My role is to help you cut through the noise around food to build real-life nutrition strategies that support healing. Are you overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition messages or facing a complex health challenge? If food feels more stressful than nourishing, or if youâve tried countless diets and still feel stuckâI hear you! I am glad we will connect. Together, we will explore what is driving your symptoms and structure a care plan that honors both your biology and your day-to-day reality. Iâll meet you where you are now and help you move forwardâstep by step, with tools you can trust.
Approach to care
Your nutrition story is layeredâemotionally, behaviorally, biologicallyâand deserves time to unfold. I donât believe in quick fixes (because they are short-lived) nor in one-size-fits-all plans (which serve everyone and no one). Instead, I center my practice on: ⢠Personalized Nutrition: tailored strategies for your clinical situation and your lifestyle. ⢠Evolving Care Plans: adjustments may be needed as life unfolds. ⢠Builderâs Mindset: small, doable steps, in an âAtomic Habitsâ approach for lasting progress. ⢠Sustainable Journeys: no crash diets or revolutionsâjust short-term wins and long-term growth.
Your first session with Anca-Maria
During our initial 55-minute meeting (standard duration for all our sessions), I would like to hear about your main concerns and learn about your nutrition story. Some helpful info includes: ⢠Recent lab results and medical history, current medications, supplements ⢠Your daily routines, preferences, and goals ⢠Any challenges you have faced with food, diet, and nutrition. If you don't have everything on hand, thatâs okayâwe will gather these over time. Best Practices recommend scheduling weekly appointments for the first month. It is recommended to aim for 12 sessions in 5-6 months to support your progress towards goals. Nutrition is not a one-and-done stop, but a process. We will aim to set 1-2 achievable goals at our first session. Everyone's journey is different, and I want to honor yours. Letâs take the guesswork out of food and craft a sustainable planâone step at a time.
