About Andrea

Hello! I'm Andrea and I look forward to helping you or your child meet your goals! I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years and have worked with patients throughout the life cycle. I have a wealth of experience working with infants in the NICU and with children with GI issues. In addition, I have expanded on this knowledge through my personal experiences with wellness and nutrition. I'm the mom of two teens, so I understand the importance (and challenges) of promoting and modeling good nutrition to our kids (or even our spouse). I'm eager to help you achieve sustainable wellness through basic principles of nutrition, mindful eating, exercise, and realistic expectations.

Approach to care

I believe in a client led approach when it comes to optimizing your nutrition. I like to meet people where they are, decide on initial steps to take together, and then walk beside them on their journey to better health. Many factors can significantly affect your journey, so I like to assess things beyond nutrition like physical activity, stress, family dynamics, support systems, and mental health concerns. I promise to be compassionate, mindful, and collaborative.

Your first session with Andrea

At our first session, you will tell me all about yourself or your child, what brings you to the session, and what goals you have. I will gather information about your (or your child's) medical and nutritional histories. We will have an open, honest, and respectful discussion to determine the best solutions to optimize your health together. Together we will set attainable short term goals that we will build on to achieve your ultimate goal. I will provide any helpful resources or educational handouts. I'll address any questions or concerns you have and then we'll discuss follow up appointments.
