About Angela
Hello! My name is Angie and I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for a whole-food approach to nutrition. My focus is on healthy, attainable lifestyle changes to prevent disease, work toward a healthier lifestyle, or to work toward medically necessary nutrition-related goals. I have a background in nutrition education for both those in the public aid space and in the clinical hospital space. I am a lactation specialist and can also help focus on the specific nutrition needs for pregnant and breastfeeding women and have experience with working with those with food allergies/intolerances, celiac disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and general health, wellness with primary focus on an intuitive approach to eating and attainable lifestyle changes to promote health and well-being.
Approach to care
We will focus on setting attainable and sustainable goals for improvement of nutrition and overall health and wellness. My goal is to work toward your goals! We will look at a big picture goal and come up with "bite size" small and attainable steps to approach this larger goal in the most healthful way possible.
Your first session with Angela
In your first session, we will discuss your background, any pertinent medical history/conditions, personal goals, and we will work together to develop a nutrition plan that works best to attain and maintain your goals. At first, gathering detailed information about your dietary history and nutrition-related medical history is important to determine specific components of your diet that can be improved upon. We will work together to come up with a plan for monitoring and evaluation of the goals we set at each session to ensure long-term success.
