About Anna
Hi! I’m Anna Dorsey, MS, RD, LD, a registered dietitian with a clinical background and a patient-centered approach to nutrition care. I’ve worked with individuals managing complex conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and malnutrition. I know how overwhelming nutrition guidance can feel, so I focus on breaking evidence-based advice into clear, realistic steps that fit into daily life. I also support those seeking weight loss and improved metabolic health through sustainable habits, not quick fixes. I meet clients where they are, listening without judgment and creating personalized plans that empower long-term health. I’m excited to work with you and help you reach your goals!
Approach to care
I believe nutrition care should be supportive, realistic, and empowering—not overwhelming. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and shaped by my clinical experience working with individuals managing complex health conditions. I meet clients where they are, taking time to understand their medical needs, lifestyle, culture, access to food, and past experiences with nutrition. Rather than focusing on restriction or quick fixes, I prioritize sustainable habits that support metabolic health, energy, and long-term well-being. I work collaboratively with each client to break nutrition guidance into clear, achievable steps, creating personalized plans that fit into real life and support meaningful, lasting change.
Your first session with Anna
The focus of our first session will be on getting to know you—not just your diagnosis or goals, but your lifestyle, preferences, and past experiences with nutrition. We’ll review your health history, current concerns, and any relevant labs or medical information, and I’ll take time to understand what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past. This session is a judgment-free space where you can ask questions and share what feels challenging. Together, we’ll identify realistic, meaningful goals and begin breaking nutrition guidance into clear, manageable steps that fit into your everyday life. You’ll leave with practical recommendations, a better understanding of how nutrition relates to your health, and a plan that feels achievable—not overwhelming. Most importantly, this is the start of a collaborative partnership. My goal is for you to feel supported, heard, and confident moving forward.
