About Anna
Hi, I’m Anna, a registered dietitian based in San Diego. I help adults improve gut health, balance blood sugar and metabolism, and build a healthier relationship with food without rigid dieting or extreme rules. Many people I work with feel stuck in cycles of dieting, low energy, bloating, or feeling like they are doing everything “right” but still not feeling their best. My goal is to help you understand what your body needs and create realistic nutrition strategies that support digestion, steady energy, strength, and sustainable weight changes when desired. My background includes hospital care, outpatient counseling, diabetes education, weight management, research, and an eating disorder helpline, allowing me to support both medical concerns and everyday nutrition challenges with an evidence based approach. Outside of work, I enjoy knitting, snowboarding, and yoga, and I believe nutrition should feel realistic, culturally respectful, and sustainable for the long term.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science with compassion. I translate nutrition research into practical strategies that fit your schedule, culture, budget, and daily life so healthy habits feel achievable rather than overwhelming. When we work together, you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where your experiences, concerns, and goals are truly heard. Together, we will identify barriers that may have held you back in the past and create small, realistic steps that build confidence, consistency, and lasting momentum. Our work focuses on habits that support metabolic health, digestion, energy, strength, and overall well-being rather than chasing a number on the scale. If weight or body composition changes are goals, we pursue them through sustainable habits rather than restrictive dieting. Finally, education is an important part of my approach. I want you to understand why strategies work so you feel empowered, confident, and capable of caring for your health long after our sessions.
Your first session with Anna
Our first session is focused entirely on understanding you and your health goals. We will review your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and eating patterns to understand the full picture rather than just isolated concerns. We will also talk about your relationship with food and what you would like to improve, whether that is digestion, energy levels, blood sugar balance, metabolism, or body composition. You do not need to have everything figured out before our first meeting. I will guide the conversation in a supportive and judgment free environment, and together we will identify one to three realistic steps you can begin implementing right away. If available, we may review lab work or other health markers to better personalize your plan. You will leave the session with clear next steps, practical nutrition strategies, and guidance on how to structure meals in a way that supports gut health, hormonal balance, steady energy, and sustainable progress.
