About Anna
Hi! I am originally from Huntsville, AL. I attended Auburn University to complete a Bachelor of Human Science degree in Nutrition/Dietetics. I then completed a Master of Science in Nutrition Science degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Before becoming a full-time dietitian, I completed a year long Nutrition Traineeship working with children diagnosed with metabolic disorders, autism, developmental delays and/or other intellectual disabilities. I have worked in the inpatient clinical setting as a dietitian for about five and a half years now seeing adult and geriatric patients age 19+.
Approach to care
I would love to help each client I work with develop a good relationship (or improved relationship) with food. I do not like to label any food as "good" or "bad." However, I believe it is important to learn what food choices best benefit your body and mind that can ultimately affect how you feel on a daily basis.
Your first session with Anna
I would like to learn a little bit about you and your nutrition goals you would like to set for yourself, whether that is working together to make meal plans, ways to improve grocery shopping, cooking tips, lose weight, etc.
