About Anne
My life journey started in the restaurant industry back in 1999 and I became a registered dietitian in 2014. I went to East Carolina University and graduated in 2004, received my Masters of Science in Nutrition at Meredith College in 2013 and completed my dietetic internship at Iowa State in 2014. I have 2 amazing kiddos and have been married for 12 years to the coolest guy ever! We are huge soccer and football fans (Go Charlotte FC and Carolina Panthers!) I have been a registered dietitian for 11 years working mostly in skilled nursing/rehab facilities. I feel these experiences have helped give me a bigger picture of health in all aspects of nutrition care. In long term care, I have connected nutrition with a wide variety of chronic conditions such as cancer, dementia, kidney disease and dialysis, malnutrition, tube feeding, older adult nutrition and many more. I have a passion for helping other reach their goals and live healthy happy lives through food.
Approach to care
My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based nutrition. I believe that food should support your health and your quality of life, not add stress, guilt or pressure. Food should fuel your body and your soul and I will help guide you into creating a better relationship with food for a whole lifestyle change not just developing a new unsustainable "diet".
Your first session with Anne
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought us together. I'll ask questions about your health history , current concerns, lifestyle, and relationship with food to get a better understanding of your unique needs and goals. This session will be a collaborative and meaningful conversation with no judgement or lectures (then or in the future!) to set realistic goals for you. My goal is to listen and provide support to help you feel comfortable and understood.
