About Annie
Hi, I’m a registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience helping people make meaningful changes to support their health. I live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and specialize in chronic disease prevention, heart health, type 2 diabetes and prediabetes management, and weight loss. I understand that life is busy and nutrition can feel overwhelming, so I focus on helping patients move forward with progress—not perfection—in a way that feels realistic and sustainable. If you’re looking for a supportive partner who will meet you where you are and help you build confidence around food and health, I’d be happy to work with you.
Approach to care
My approach to care is practical, supportive, and rooted in real life. I will focus on helping you build sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, with an emphasis on progress over perfection. Nutrition should feel doable, flexible, and personalized to you. I also believe health goes beyond food alone. Exercise, stress, sleep, and daily routines all influence your nutrition and overall well-being, so we’ll look at the full picture together. Our sessions are collaborative - you know yourself best, and if something isn’t working, we’ll problem-solve and adjust as a team. If something isn’t working, that’s not a failure; it’s an opportunity to learn and try a different approach. You don’t have to do this alone—I’m here to encourage and support you as you take the next steps toward your goals.
Your first session with Annie
Your first session is a relaxed, nonjudgmental space to get started and get to know each other. Because everyone is different, spending time learning about you helps me better support you in creating a personalized plan that fits your life. We’ll talk through your lifestyle habits, medical and nutrition history, what’s motivating you to make changes, and anything that has felt challenging—now or in the past. Together, we’ll identify short- and long-term goals and decide what feels most realistic to focus on first. I’ll share the why behind my recommendations and help turn them into specific, achievable steps to work on between sessions. In future appointments, we’ll check in on how things are going, celebrate what’s working, troubleshoot what isn’t, and continue building on your progress over time. Before your first visit, it can be helpful to download the Nourish app, which can be a useful tool for tracking goals and communicating between sessions if questions come up.
