Patient reviews
“I’ve been working with Annie to find a diet that fits my lifestyle and helps me lose stubborn weight. I appreciate her mindful approach; she understands my goals, shares great recipes, and offers encouragement. In just three weeks, I’ve noticed a significant boost in my energy levels and less bloating, and my colleagues have noticed the positive change too. I highly recommend Annie to anyone, regardless of their goals.“

About Annie
Born in Hong Kong, but Midwest-bred, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed lens with a passion for providing culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education which supports overall health and wellness goals. I enjoy working with adults of all ages with a particular interest in general weight management, pre-diabetes, cardiovascular health, PCOS and women's health. I have experience in maternal and public health, refugee/immigrant health, and the adult outpatient setting. With an affinity for Asian cuisine, I enjoy experimenting and coming up with new ways to blend the "traditional" with a healthier spin! Outside of work, you can find me relaxing in the garden where I enjoy seeing and tasting the fruit of my labor, being a dog mom to our two rescues, reading, working out, serving at my church, keeping up with my active family, and getting together with friends.
Approach to care
Developing and adopting new lifestyle habits takes time, and it is my goal to foster a trusting relationship with each patient that is individualized and tailored to your needs and lifestyle. As sleep, stress management, and healthy movement and exercise are also foundational pillars to optimal health that can influence one's day-to-day choices, it's helpful to touch upon each of these areas that can support your overarching health goals. I emphasize progress, not perfection, and enjoy helping each person achieve small "wins" that can increase self-confidence. I believe cultivating a healthy relationship with food is vital. Yet, this can take time, self-compassion and patience. I enjoy exploring and discussing principles of mindful and intuitive eating that can support you along the way.
Your first session with Annie
During our first session, we talk about your general lifestyle and dietary habits, your comfort level in the kitchen, and the other humans in your life that may influence cooking, eating and shopping habits. This is a time for me to listen and get to know what you most want to achieve by working with a dietitian. We come up with one, or more, simple, yet realistic, goals to work on before your next session.
