Patient reviews
“I’ve been working with Annie to find a diet that fits my lifestyle and helps me lose stubborn weight. I appreciate her mindful approach; she understands my goals, shares great recipes, and offers encouragement. In just three weeks, I’ve noticed a significant boost in my energy levels and less bloating, and my colleagues have noticed the positive change too. I highly recommend Annie to anyone, regardless of their goals.“

About Annie
Born in Hong Kong, but Midwest-bred, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed lens with a passion for providing culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education. I enjoy working with adults of all ages with particular interests in weight management, pre-diabetes/diabetes, digestive/gut health and women's health. As someone who grew up in an immigrant family with almost nightly Chinese (Cantonese) cuisine, accompanied by extra servings of white rice, I respect and greatly value the unique cultural food traditions that are deeply embedded in one’s culture and identity.
Approach to care
It is my goal to foster a trusting and collaborative relationship with you. I emphasize progress, not perfection, with a focus on improving overall dietary patterns over time. There is no expectation of "making straight A's" when working with me! Whether managing a health condition, desiring to lose weight, improve gut health, increase energy or simply establish healthier rhythms and meal patterns, I am eager to come alongside you in a way that is PERSONALIZED. I believe in the power of food as medicine to nourish, sustain, energize and delight the senses, no matter if you are managing a health condition, growing a healthy baby, or just in need of improving your relationship with food.
Your first session with Annie
During our first session, I value hearing about your general lifestyle (including sleep, stress, physical activity level) and eating habits, your comfort level in the kitchen, and others in your life that may influence your dietary habits. This is an informative time for me to listen, get to know you, and understand what is most important to you. Before the session is over, we schedule several follow up sessions to establish regular accountability and support which leads to the most successful outcomes. Expect a summary from our session with what we discussed, including any “SMART” goals we have identified together.
