Patient reviews
“I’ve been working with Annie to find a diet that fits my lifestyle and helps me lose stubborn weight. I appreciate her mindful approach; she understands my goals, shares great recipes, and offers encouragement. In just three weeks, I’ve noticed a significant boost in my energy levels and less bloating, and my colleagues have noticed the positive change too. I highly recommend Annie to anyone, regardless of their goals.“

About Annie
Born in Hong Kong, but Midwest-bred, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed lens with a passion for providing culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education. As someone who grew up in a Chinese (Cantonese) family, I respect and greatly value the unique food traditions and family values that shape one’s identity, relationships, relationship with food and so much more. Having struggled with disordered eating habits in college, I bring a personal level of understanding and empathy, though eating disorders is not my specialty.
Approach to care
I bring a highly relational and collaborative approach to care. I emphasize progress, not perfection and desire to “meet you where you’re at”. I aim to foster a relationship with each person that is built upon respect, kindness and trust. I strive to help you grow in confidence toward meeting your goals in a way that feels sustainable and realistic with an understanding that goals can be modified along the way!
Your first session with Annie
We dig deeper into your “whys” and goals, getting to know you and understand other lifestyle habits that can impact eating habits (sleep, stress, physical activity, kids’ activities, work schedule, etc.) With that information, I support you in coming up with a short-term goal(s) to work on before our next session. Since we know that the most successful outcomes are with regular accountability, we schedule weekly follow up sessions.
