Patient reviews
“I’ve been working with Annie to find a diet that fits my lifestyle and helps me lose stubborn weight. I appreciate her mindful approach; she understands my goals, shares great recipes, and offers encouragement. In just three weeks, I’ve noticed a significant boost in my energy levels and less bloating, and my colleagues have noticed the positive change too. I highly recommend Annie to anyone, regardless of their goals.“

About Annie
Born in Hong Kong, but Midwest-bred, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed lens with a passion for providing culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education which supports overall health and wellness goals. I enjoy working with adults of all ages with a particular interest in general weight management, pre-diabetes/diabetes, and women's health. With experience in public health, the wellness setting and outpatient care, I bring a wealth of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Outside of work, I love to keep up with evidence-based nutrition research, enjoy the outdoors, gardening, reading, serving in the church and spending quality time with friends and family. I also have a passion for community outreach and nutrition education to the immigrant and refugee population in our community.
Approach to care
It is my goal to foster a trusting relationship with each patient's needs and season of life. As sleep, stress management, and healthy movement are also foundational pillars to optimal health, I touch upon these aspects of life and welcome exploring these topics to support your overall wellness goals. I emphasize progress, not perfection, and enjoy helping each patient make small "wins" that are sustainable.
Your first session with Annie
During our first session, we talk about your general lifestyle and habits, your comfort level in the kitchen, and the other humans in your life that may influence cooking, eating and shopping habits. This is a time for me to listen and get to know what you most want to achieve by working with a dietitian. We come up with one, or more, simple, yet realistic, goals to work on before your next session. As changing habits takes time, the most successful outcomes happen with regular follow ups, so scheduling future sessions happens at the end of our initial time.
