About Aparna

Hi, I am Aparna. With 21 years as a Registered Dietitian and a double Master’s in Nutrition, I bring a broad perspective to care. I’ve practiced in clinical and hospital settings, private practice, and in dialysis, transplant, acute care, long-term care, as well as outpatient and inpatient nutrition services. I value evidence-based science and human connection in equal measure, and my postnominals include MS, MA, RD LDN. When I am not with clients, I love reading and walking my dog. I am grateful for the chance to get to know you and to support your health goals, step by step.

Approach to care

My care philosophy centers you as a person, and you and I will work as a team. I'm committed to an Evidence-Based, science-forward approach that translates complex nutrition science into practical steps you can live with. I'm empathetic and warm, offering a judgment-free space where you feel seen and heard. We'll set clear, action-oriented goals and timelines, while honoring your pace and preferences. I practice Health At Every Size, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than dieting culture. My aim is to empower you with knowledge and skills for lasting well-being, inside and beyond meals.

Your first session with Aparna

Our first appointment is a warm, collaborative conversation. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, and together establish short-term goals. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; think of this time as getting to know your relationship with food and your daily routines. We'll discuss what matters most to you and what you hope to change, and we'll set 1-2 realistic, personalized goals to guide our next steps. You'll have space to ask questions and I will meet you where you are, with support, flexibility, and zero judgment.
