About April

Between clinical halls and family dinner tables I've learned that practical, realistic nutrition makes the biggest difference. I bring 8 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and hold a Master of Arts in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Oklahoma. As an RDN and licensed dietitian I've worked in clinical settings, rehabilitation and post-acute care, long-term care, and renal units. Outside of work I love watching sports with my family β€” baseball, basketball, football β€” taking on projects around the house, cooking, and playing with my dogs. I bring that same everyday, hands-on focus to the care I offer.

Approach to care

Science guides the recommendations I offer, and compassion guides how we'll get there. I use evidence-based practices to translate research into clear, practical steps we can try together, while keeping conversations judgment-free and supportive. I focus on sustainable habits and health at every size, looking at the whole person β€” sleep, stress, movement, and relationships with food β€” not just calories or numbers. Education and straightforward action matter to me, so you'll leave sessions with understandable why's and realistic next steps we can adjust over time.

Your first session with April

Expect a relaxed, low-pressure conversation where we'll review your health history, current lifestyle, eating patterns, and goals so we can begin building a personalized, sustainable nutrition plan together. You don't need to have it all figured out. We'll talk about what's working, what's been frustrating, and identify one or two realistic steps to start. My goal is to create a judgement-free space where you feel heard, supported, and clear about the path forward.
