About Arlene
Hello, I have been working as a dietitian since 1997, mainly in the academic hospital and clinics setting. My experience is quite varied. I have done everything from neonatal intensive care to transplant -anything one finds in a hospitalized setting but have recently retired from that work. I am a native Californian, love dogs and love to hike and travel.
Approach to care
I am practical and a realist and want to help you achieve improved and lasting good health. Forget all the noise and the very confusing information we receive on social media and now our own government. What does the science really tell us? I am a proponent of a "plant forward" diet which does not necessarily mean strict vegan or vegetarian - #BlueZones. Are you on a GLP-1 or GIP? they are a great tool to get motivated and closer to your goals of weight loss, diabetes management and cardiac health.
