About Armando
Nutrition has always been a mix of science and curiosity for me. With five years as a Registered Dietitian and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition, I've worked primarily in clinical and hospital settings in San Antonio. As an RDN and LD I help people cut through confusing nutrition trends using evidence-based guidance. Outside of work I love traveling, Latin dance, resistance training, boxing, trying new foods, and learning. Se habla Español!
Approach to care
Food and health deserve a science-based, compassionate conversation. I combine current research with a weight-neutral Health At Every Size mindset so we focus on sustainable habits instead of quick fixes. We'll set clear, practical steps and track progress in ways that matter to you. I bring empathy and education to every visit, addressing physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors, and we adjust plans together as life changes.
Your first session with Armando
Plan for a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll get to know each other, review your medical history, and establish short-term goals and expectations. On our first session I would like for us to build rapport, talk through what matters to you, and pick one or two practical steps you feel confident starting. You do not need to have everything figured out. We'll translate evidence-based guidance into manageable actions and check in together as you progress.
