About Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley! With 8 years of professional experience as a dietitian, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from those focused on weight loss and general wellness to individuals managing conditions such as pre-diabetes, diabetes, heart disease, and pre- and post-bariatric surgery patients. Whether your focus is on improving your nutrition habits, managing a chronic condition, or building lasting wellness habits, I’m here to provide guidance, support, and encouragement along the way.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition care is rooted in collaboration and empathy. I meet each client where they are to develop sustainable changes that fit into their unique lifestyle and align with their personal wellness goals. Together, we’ll focus on achievable steps you can take each week that help to build your foundation for long-term success. I believe in a flexible approach to food that avoids unnecessary restriction and embraces the idea that all foods can fit into a healthy diet. While we'll use traditional metrics like weight and lab values to track progress, I will also prioritize and encourage you to pay attention to non-scale indicators of success such as energy levels, mood, stamina, and overall well-being. I recognize that lasting change isn’t just about nutrition knowledge or willpower—it often involves addressing emotional and mental barriers as well. I’ll be here to offer support, encouragement, and guidance, helping you navigate challenges and celebrate every step forward.
Your first session with Ashley
Our first session is where I get to know you! I'll take the time to learn more about you, your health history, lifestyle, any past or current challenges that may be relevant to your success, and your short and long-term goals. From there we'll start to create a plan to help you reach your health and wellness goals. During this session (and any future sessions) you can also feel free to ask me any questions you have, and I'm happy to share more about myself too!
