About Ashley
Hello there! I became a Registered Dietitian back in January 2022 where I began my journey working with older adults in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Over the years I have developed a strong emphasis on diabetes management, weight gain/loss, as well as heart and kidney health. I have also developed a strong knowledge in menu planning and development. I am living in Santa Cruz, Ca. where you can find me at the beach, hiking the redwoods, or shopping at the Farmers Market. I am thrilled to be able to able to use my knowledge and expertise in nutrition and dietetics to help those improve their nutrition and overall well-being. I look forward to meeting you!
Approach to care
My approach to care centers on a patient-centered process to guide tailored, collaborative changes and focusing on realistic goals, building skills, and addressing barriers for sustainable habits. By using core frameworks and key principles and techniques, I will be able to focus on behavior changes and identify and solve nutrition related concerns.
Your first session with Ashley
During our first session you can expect us to get to know each other beyond nutrition. I will then ask a number of questions in order to gather a full understanding of your lifestyle habits and medical/nutrition history. By the end of our session I will begin to develop an individualized plan to help you reach your short and long-term goals.
