About Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley. I’ve spent five years as a Registered Dietitian. I earned my BS in Dietetics from Brigham Young University and an MS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. I completed a Dietetic Internship at the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center. My career has taken me through clinical hospital settings, private practice, research and academia, community health, a skilled nursing facility, and a state mental health hospital. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, caring for my rabbits, aquarium keeping, country dancing, singing, and songwriting.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science with humanity. I base our plans on current evidence and practical protocols, translating research into doable steps for real life. I strive to be empathetic and warm, meeting you without judgment and celebrating small wins. I’m direct and action oriented, helping you identify clear steps and follow through with gentle accountability. I focus on habits and wellbeing over dieting culture. Above all, I treat you holistically, recognizing sleep, stress management, and movement all play a part in optimizing health in addition to the food we eat. I aim to provide you with the information you need so you feel confident making choices and goals you own.
Your first session with Ashley
Our first appointment is a warm, collaborative conversation. We'll review your medical history and current lifestyle, discuss what personally drives you to pursue healthier habits, and identify potential long and short term goals you want to set. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet; this is a space to explore your story and your aspirations. Together, we’ll set one or two realistic steps to start with and plan how we’ll stay connected as you navigate your journey. I’m here to support you with patience and respect.
