About Autumn
Hi, my name is Autumn. I am a Registered Dietitian and a certified personal trainer specializing in helping maintain functional ability through aging. I am a wife, a best friend, and an avid student. I live purposefully in finding out "why is this happening and how can I help fix it." I got into this field because I believe everyone should have a voice when it comes to their heath and if you don't know what questions to ask then you can not ask the questions you need
Approach to care
I am, first and foremost, a student of people, and I want to get to know you. We all have a story and a relationship with food that I believe is not good or bad but instead informed or not informed. You are either fueling your body or inflaming it; it is my job to help you learn how best to fuel it. I lead a patient-centered approach where I listen and don't judge. I am here to meet you where you are and help you get a better idea of how to navigate a healthier journey.
Your first session with Autumn
In our first session, I want to get to know you and for you to see if I am a good fit for you. It is important to me that you know, like, and trust your dietitian because everyone learns differently and everyone teaches differently. So, making sure we fit is number one. Then, we will find out why you started this journey and take a comprehensive medical look at where you were, where you are, and how to get to where you want to be. Look at family and personal history, previous medications, and your previous and current relationship with food. Finally, what do you want to learn and how do you want to feel about food? And creating short-term and long-term goals that can be measured to map progress.
