About Avery
Hi, I’m Avery! I’m a registered dietitian based in Georgia with a passion for helping people feel strong, confident, and at peace with food. My nutrition journey began in college, when I overcame bulimia nervosa. An experience that ignited my passion for nutrition and desire to help others who may be struggling as I once did. I believe food should be empowering, not something to fear. It has the power to heal the body, restore balance, and help people feel their best. Growing up in sports, I also witnessed how fueling well can elevate health and performance. Today, I carry those lessons into my work, guiding clients toward a healthier relationship with food. Together, we’ll build a plan that supports both your physical health, mental health, and overall wellbeing, empowering you to feel strong, balanced, and able to thrive in all areas of life.
Approach to care
My approach to care is practical yet personal, creating realistic, sustainable changes that fit your life. I recognize that every person’s journey with food looks different, so I prioritize meeting you where you are and building a plan that feels doable, not overwhelming. Whether you’re working toward improving athletic performance, managing a health condition, or navigating recovery from disordered eating, I’ll guide you with compassionate and encouraging strategies that are achievable day to day. I believe in the power of nutrition but I also believe food should bring enjoyment and confidence into your life. My goal is to help you shift away from fear and frustration with nutrition and instead build a healthy, trusting relationship with food.
Your first session with Avery
In our first session, we will get to know each other. I want to learn about your goals, health history, and relationship with food in a relaxed environment. I will ask you about your eating habits, likes/dislikes, exercise regime, etc. With this information, my goal is to have at least one small, achievable goal for you to start with after your first session to begin working towards your big goal. Because small steps make big changes!
