About Barbara
I have over ten years of experience offering nutrition counseling and diabetes education. I enjoy problem solving with my clients and celebrating each success along the way. Outside of work you can find me spending time with my husband, two young daughters and our pup.
Approach to care
My goal is for the client to always leave our sessions feeling like they have more direction and more food options than when it started. I listen to their nutrition goals, food preferences, meal patterns and barriers. I use this information to offer a focused education and then work with patients to make a plan from session to session.
Your first session with Barbara
The first session will be me getting to know you so that we can make a plan for you. Expect me to ask a fair amount of question. It is helpful if you come prepared to discuss your usual food and beverage intake. Maybe keep a food log for a few days prior to.
