About Betsy
Thirty years in nutrition taught me that lasting change comes from practical, patient-centered steps. I trained with a BS in Nutrition and Food Science and have worked across clinical hospital settings and corporate wellness programs, practicing as an RDN and LDN. I listen first, then help you turn science into a plan that fits your life. When I'm not working, you might find me cooking or baking, strength training, reading, traveling, volunteering at my church, spending time with family, or taking my field golden to the park to burn off all her energy.
Approach to care
I ground my nutrition care in current research while keeping things warm and doable. We will focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes or diet culture, honoring a weight-neutral lens that centers behaviors and wellbeing. I listen closely, then offer direct, practical steps so we can measure progress together. Nutrition matters alongside sleep, movement, stress, and values, and I aim to educate and empower you so the changes we make are realistic and long lasting.
Your first session with Betsy
Expect a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and talk through what matters to you. My goal in that first visit is to get to know you well enough to create an initial plan tailored to your needs and ability. We'll establish short-term goals together. Some people are ready for a meal plan, others feel overwhelmed by that step, and both responses are fine. Listen first, then act, that is how we find what works for you.
