About Beverly
Food and curiosity have guided my path from lab to bedside. A Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from Howard University shapes how I read studies, and 16 years as a Registered Dietitian have taught me how to translate evidence into everyday choices. I've worked in hospitals, research settings, and community health, so I value both practical bedside solutions and big-picture prevention. When I'm off the clock you'll find me bowling, out for a run, or dancing—and I bring that same energy and warmth to my work as an LDN.
Approach to care
Grounded in current research, I use clear, action-oriented steps to help you build lasting habits. I value honest, compassionate conversations where we tackle practical problems together, not quick fixes or rigid rules. I work from a weight-neutral perspective, focusing on sustainable behaviors that support your whole life, including mental and emotional well-being. Education is central, so I'll explain the science and equip you with tools to make confident choices over the long term.
Your first session with Beverly
You can expect a relaxed, comprehensive conversation that feels more like planning than an exam. We'll review your medical history, look over lab work and biometrics together, and take a deep dive into your relationship with food so we understand patterns and barriers. I aim for clear, short-term goals we both agree are realistic, and you'll leave with practical next steps. You don't need to have everything figured out, we'll work through it together in a judgment-free space.
