About Brenna

Hello, Brenna here! Welcome to Nourish! If you’re reading this, that means I’m possibly going to be your dietitian, so let’s talk about what that will be like. First, a little bit about me. I’ve lived in a couple different cities, starting out in the Midwest in Cincinnati, heading south to South Carolina, going up north to Buffalo, NY and now living west in Colorado. When I’m not working, I can be found out on a run, at the gym lifting, making a list of recipes to bake next (and maybe even actually making some of them) and playing video games.

Approach to care

I like to take a very therapeutic and collaborative approach to nutrition counseling. That means whatever your goal is, we’re going to figure out how to achieve it together. You know yourself better than I do, so I’m here to use my knowledge to support the change you want to see. I started out working with patients in a hospital setting on chronic health conditions like diabetes and heart disease. Then I moved on to a job as a sports dietitian with strength, endurance and physique athletes. Most recently, I’ve gained experience with eating disorders and disordered eating. On top of my clinical nutrition experience, I worked as a baker for two years, so I definitely believe that first and foremost, food and eating should have the opportunity to be a joyful experience.

Your first session with Brenna

The first time we meet will be a focus on getting to know each other and then setting goals for the future. You'll share what motivated you to start working with a dietitian and what big goals you want to achieve. We'll discuss barriers you've run into in the past and the small steps you'll take to move forward. Lastly, we'll talk about how you can maximize your experience at Nourish. Welcome and I can't wait for us to meet!
