Patient reviews

  • When I was told to eat a low-fat diet for pancreatitis, I floundered, trying to figure out how much fat I could have a day and what to eat. In addition, I have chronic kidney disease, which makes chooding foods to accommodate both conditions tricky. Brian explained ways to manage fat and protein intake for both conditions and still have ways to enjoy savory and sweet foods. It was a pleasure to work with someone so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much, Brian!

About Brian

Brian has been a practicing RDN for over 9 years, after previously working as a chef in fine dining restaurants in Philly and New York City. He transitioned to a career in nutrition to better understand the far-reaching effects that food has on our everyday lives. Brian has the upmost respect and admiration for individuals seeking to make health changes; he finds the most joy in designing realistic, individualized plans that align with who they are. When he is not talking about or cooking food, he can be found hanging out with his rescue cats or attempting to prove he is still has game playing tennis. He just moved back to his native Philly after 10 years in Chicago and Minneapolis.

Approach to care

Brian is driven by providing individualized, client-centered care above all, using sustainably-focused approaches with an evidence-based foundation. Any issue is best broken down into approachable, manageable pieces. He likes to have a flexible problem-solving mindset, looking at mutually-agreed upon interventions as experiments to work towards larger goals. Brian is also certified in the low-FODMAP approach to manage IBS, trained via Monash University, which he uses as a tool as indicated.
