About Brianna
Hi there! My name is Bri and I am excited to be working with you on your journey to recovery! I have been an RD for 2 years working primarily in ED treatment with experience in multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. I primarily have experience with anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, other specified feeding and eating disorder (OSFED), atypical anorexia, purging disorder, etc. In addition to this, I also have experience with clients who may not have eating disorders though may display behaviors of disordered eating such as emotional eating, irregular or inflexible eating patterns, and compulsive eating. I have worked with a multitude of patients with differing ages, behaviors, and stages of recovery. My goal is to meet clients where they are and give them the tools they need to not only help themselves through this journey, but to also be a supportive member of their treatment team.
Approach to care
My appointments are very collaborative and individualized, ensuring that needs are met in the most appropriate way for each client. I take a very compassionate and straightforward approach in providing care to my clients. This in turn leads to clients feeling validated in their struggles/challenges while also being held accountable for making crucial steps towards progress weekly.
Your first session with Brianna
After getting to know one another, one should expect many basic nutritionally focused questions such as history of eating behaviors (or ED behaviors) throughout one's lifetime, what one typically eats on a daily basis, motivations behind behaviors, weight history, allergies, food preferences, feared foods, G.I. symptoms, etc. In addition to this, I would also begin discussing goals for treatment with client and collaborative on specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound goals (SMART goals) to ensure client has a framework on what they should be working on weekly.
