About Brie
Hi, I'm Brie! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. I take great joy in helping others improve their overall health and general well-being. I achieve this by prioritizing personalized nutrition care, thoughtfully designed to meet your specific needs. It's a philosophy built on the belief that everyone deserves a supportive, evidence-based plan that empowers them to thrive. I have extensive experience working with people who have diabetes, maternal & child health, and lactation support. My practice is built on a dual focus of proactive and supportive care. For those looking to optimize their health, I provide expert guidance on preventative care to build a strong foundation for future well-being. For clients navigating ongoing health challenges associated with diabetes, I offer dedicated support in managing their condition, helping them use nutrition and physical activity as powerful tools to improve their quality of life.
Approach to care
Navigating the world of health can feel overwhelming, with countless one-size-fits-all diets that often prove unsustainable. I believe the most effective path to lasting wellness is not about restriction, but about discovery—a personalized journey tailored to your health concerns, unique body, lifestyle, and goals. This approach moves beyond temporary fixes to help you build a foundation for genuine, long-term health. I consider myself a weight neutral dietitian, my focus is not about a number on a scale, but rather on improving health behaviors like eating based on internal cues, meaningful movement, and other markers such as improved blood sugar regulation. I practice a non-diet approach and blend mindful and intuitive eating principles for eating well. I will meet you where you are at with compassion so we can collaborate to craft a plan, I will act as a guide to empower you to take an active role in your health journey while working toward your desired goals!
Your first session with Brie
Our first session will be about getting to know one another while I complete a nutrition assessment by asking questions about your current and past medical history, diet history, review of medications and supplement use, your food preferences- just to name a few. I want to prioritize getting to understand you, your health concerns, and what you hope to accomplish by working with a dietitian. Sessions typically last one hour, and then we can schedule follow-up sessions according to your needs. I believe the path to achieving wellness and vitality should be flexible and fun, not rigid and lackluster. This philosophy allows you to enjoy the process of discovering the healthiest version of yourself without sacrificing joy. So, if you are interested in working together, let's get started on working towards a healthier version of you, one step at a time!
