About Brittany
My name is Brittany McClain and I have been a Registered Dietitian for the past 16 years. I started my career in clinical nutrition in the hospital setting, but over the past 15 years shifted my focus to renal patients. I worked in dialysis for the last 15 years of which many patients have diabetes and other comorbids. Some of them interested in weight loss or improved overall health while having a restricted diet. I got joy in assisting them with their short term or long term goals and watching them achieve them. My goal is to assist you in meeting your goals that you set for yourself either big or small.
Approach to care
I want to empower clients to make behavior-based changes, rather than changes focused on weight. I wish to assist in working to control your diabetes with lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise and stress levels. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and my goal is to support you on your journey to nourish both.
Your first session with Brittany
During our initial meeting we will complete a full nutrition assessment, including health history, food preferences, stress levels, what you hope to get out of working together and so much more. We will work to develop a personalized plan with small achievable goals in order to build actionable steps that you can start taking to move forward on your health journey
