About Brittany

Hello! I'm Brittany Potter, RD at Nourish, and I have been a registered dietitian for 10 years. I specialize in diabetes, weight management (non-surgical), and helping to manage often-related chronic issues such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I have 7 years of experience working with telehealth nutrition counseling, and I also have experience in corporate wellness, outpatient (clinic), inpatient, and long-term care settings.

Approach to care

I would love to work with you to help you become a healthier version of you. I believe that fad diets are not the best answer - they often promise big things, but usually are sustainable only in the short-term for most people, leading people right back where they started (or further behind in comparison to where they want to be). I want to help you find a way to eat better long-term for your health, your body, and your life. Making real, lasting habit changes and maintaining those habits to build toward a healthier lifestyle can take time, but it is well worth it!

Your first session with Brittany

I typically will ask what you would like to get out of your sessions with me, and ask several questions in our nutrition assessment to get to know you better. I also usually look at related labs if they are available, and often go over a diet recall (aka finding out what you may eat in a typical day, though I realize that can vary somewhat). After reviewing all of this information and meeting with you, we can collaborate regarding goals: I often give suggestions and typically go into why those could be helpful, and you get to pick what you'd like to work on with consideration to your goals, current life events, and what you value most.
