About Brooke
Food has been my compass long before I opened a textbook. I bring 15 years as a Registered Dietitian and more than 20 years working in community nutrition, with experience in community health and research and academia. I earned an MS in Food and Nutrition from Florida State University and a Culinary Certificate from the USC Culinary & Wine Institute, and I practice as a licensed dietitian with training in lactation counseling and health education. I love cooking, reading, listening to music, and going to concerts, and I bring that same curiosity and joy to helping people build lasting, practical habits.
Approach to care
Evidence matters, and so does kindness. I ground recommendations in current research while creating a warm, judgment-free space where you'll feel heard. We'll work together, translating science into clear, practical steps you can use every day, focusing on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. I take a weight-neutral, whole-person view that considers sleep, stress, and lifestyle, and I aim to teach you skills so you leave each visit more confident and equipped to make choices that last.
Your first session with Brooke
Expect a relaxed, thorough conversation that starts where you are. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, talk through your routines and priorities, and set a couple of realistic short-term goals to get started. You don't need to have everything figured out ahead of time. I'll listen without judgment, answer your questions, and offer practical, evidence-based steps we can build on together.
