About Brooke
I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified diabetes care and education specialist. I have worked in multiple areas of nutrition, including acute and long-term care, private practice, podcasting, and consulting over the past 19 years. My main specialties include diabetes and disordered eating. As a result of my own autoimmune disease, I have been focusing more on functional nutrition to help with others with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. I live in rural North Dakota with my husband, two kids, and our dog.
Approach to care
My nutrition philosophy is based on whole foods and whole body health. I think so many of our health concerns can be prevented and treated by getting back to the basics of eating natural foods, getting adequate fresh air and sleep, and moving our bodies daily. My goal with my patients is first to listen and then to guide. I believe that each person has a unique health story that requires an individualized approach. We will work together as a team to come up with a plan that meets your health goals and complements your lifestyle.
Your first session with Brooke
In our first session today, I will ask a lot of questions. It's my goal to get to know you and your health story, so we have a baseline to work from. By the end of the session, we will have an initial plan in place with some action steps for you to work on until we meet again.
