About Brooke
Hi! I’m Brooke, an RD with a BA in Physiology and a MS from the University of Southern California in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity. I work with athletes looking to enhance performance, those focused on weight loss, and people managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Growing up, I struggled with disordered eating and as an athlete, I often harmed my performance by not fueling my body properly. At a young age, I also lost my father to complications from diabetes. These experiences deeply shaped my path and motivated me to understand nutrition more deeply so I could help others navigate their own health journeys with confidence. My goal is to provide education, support, and guidance so that over time, you won’t need me. I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
Approach to care
I take an individualized, whole-person approach to nutrition, combining principles of functional medicine with lifestyle factors like sleep, movement, stress, and daily habits. I also consider insights from genetics, nutrigenomics, and nutrigenetics, which can provide helpful information about how your body responds to food; though testing is never required unless it’s something you want to explore. I don’t believe in quick fixes. Instead, I focus on practical, sustainable strategies that fit into your everyday life while supporting long-term health. My goal is to empower you with knowledge, tools, and confidence so you can make informed nutrition decisions, manage your health independently, and fuel your body in a way that works for you.
Your first session with Brooke
Your first session is about getting to know you as a whole person. We’ll talk about your health history, nutrition habits, lifestyle, stress, and any experiences that may influence your health and relationship with food. This helps me understand how I can best support you, whether your focus is improving performance, managing weight, or addressing a chronic condition. We’ll also explore your short- and long-term goals, giving us a clear understanding of what matters most to you. My role is to guide and support you, but ultimately you set the pace and direction. By the end of the session, we’ll have a solid foundation and a shared plan for how we can work together toward your goals.
