About Brooke

Hi!! I have been a Registered Dietitian working in the state of South Carolina for nearly 10 years. I completed my bachelors of science in sports medicine at Erskine College, where I also played college volleyball - Go Flying Fleet! I followed up with my masters of science in human nutrition at Winthrop University. I have worked in the acute care setting with a certification in nutrition support for 6+ years. I love the science behind nutrition! My husband and I have two young children and 1 four-legged furry child as well. We love to stay active as a family and truly try to live life to the fullest!

Approach to care

My approach to care is to have an open, honest dialogue about food and nutrition - how eating makes us feel both physically and mentally! I have an "all foods fit" approach, meaning, I think that having an adequate number of fruits and vegetables in your daily diet is just as important as being able to enjoy a scoop of ice cream after dinner while still obtaining your nutrition goals. I love to set short term, realistic goals that can help your reach your long-term health goals.

Your first session with Brooke

I hope that the first session with me is similar to meeting a friend for coffee! I want to get to know you as a person. This will be a judgement free zone! We will discuss what your current every-day lifestyle looks like. We will set short term nutrition / health goals in your first session with the goal of completing a sustainable nutrition plan (that fits your lifestyle) for you to reach your long term goals.
