About Brooke

Hello! I'm Brooke, a registered dietitian looking forward to helping you meet your nutrition goals! I am most experienced at providing nutrition counseling for eating disorder recovery, prenatal and postpartum health, and pediatric populations. I want to come alongside you on your personalized journey to improving your health.

Approach to care

Empathy is at the core of my counseling approach. I emphasize weight-inclusive, research-backed, evidence-based interventions. My approach to nutrition: +All foods fit: Foods are inherently neutral, neither good nor bad. A balanced way of eating can and should include all foods (minus ones you’re allergic to or dislike.) +Additive approach: Instead of eliminating foods, what can we *add* to meet your goals? +Evidence-based: Social media is rampant with misinformation. I want to help you sift through what you hear/read to learn and apply what is true and backed by science and research. +Holistic: Our bodies are incredibly complex; systems are intricately connected to one another. I strive to view your medical conditions and associated nutrition needs in the context of your mental and emotional health. Stress levels, sleep, and movement all play a role in our overall health and are worthy of discussion and attention.

Your first session with Brooke

During our first session together, we will review your background and health history. We will discuss your current eating habits, including noting what a typical day of eating and movement looks like for you and any areas of concern you may have. I hope to provide a space where you can share openly and without concern for judgment (too often people fear dietitians are food police when we are from it!). Together we will establish a framework for future sessions and set short and long-term goals.
