About Candace

Hi, I’m Candace. I am a Registered Dietitian whose work centers on maternal and women’s health, weight support, community nutrition, and culturally responsive care. I bring a unique blend of clinical experience, public-health training, and research expertise to my role at Nourish, drawing from my background in nutritional sciences, epidemiology, and community health. I have provided medical nutrition therapy across diverse populations, including women and individuals with complex health needs. My work is shaped by my doctoral research on PCOS, vitamin deficiencies, metabolic health, and the nutrition challenges women experience across the lifespan. I am passionate about helping women feel more supported in their breastfeeding and postpartum journeys.

Approach to care

My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that women deserve to feel supported—not judged—on their health journeys. I focus on creating a safe space where clients can share openly, learn at their own pace, and build habits that feel realistic for their lives. I honor each woman’s story, culture, and goals by offering individualized nutrition guidance, weight support, and practical tools for everyday wellness. I meet clients exactly where they are and partner with them to move toward where they want to be—one step, one choice, and one season of life at a time.

Your first session with Candace

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk through your goals, challenges, and daily routines. This is a relaxed and supportive conversation—there is no judgment and no pressure to have everything figured out. I’ll ask about your medical history, nutrition habits, symptoms, and any concerns related to pregnancy, postpartum recovery, PCOS, weight changes, or overall wellbeing. Together, we’ll identify your priorities and create a realistic plan that feels doable for your life right now.
