About Cara

Hi! I’m Cara, a registered dietitian with a passion for helping people build realistic, sustainable habits that improve their health and well-being. My background includes experience in clinical inpatient care, outpatient nutrition counseling, and community nutrition through WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), which has given me the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages and health backgrounds. Whether you’re looking to improve your energy and overall health, manage a medical condition, or fuel your body for better athletic performance, I’m here to help you create a nutrition plan that works for your life — not against it. I know that navigating nutrition advice can feel overwhelming, especially with all the conflicting information out there. My goal is to simplify the process for you and provide practical, evidence-based guidance that helps you feel stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Approach to care

My approach to care is collaborative, evidence-based, and personalized. I believe that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to nutrition, so I take the time to understand your unique goals, lifestyle, and challenges. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels doable, flexible, and aligned with your long-term health goals — without restrictive diets or unrealistic expectations. I also believe that progress is more important than perfection. I’ll support you through the ups and downs, helping you stay motivated while offering practical strategies that fit into your day-to-day life. My aim is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to make sustainable changes, so you can feel your best without constantly stressing about food. Whether we’re working on balancing meals, improving energy, or fueling for performance, I’ll be here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Your first session with Cara

In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your health history, current eating habits, lifestyle, and goals so I can get a clear picture of where you are and where you want to be. From there, we’ll work together to set realistic, achievable goals that feel aligned with your needs and preferences. You can expect our time together to feel comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free. I’m not here to give you a rigid meal plan or tell you what you can and can’t eat — instead, I’ll help you find practical solutions that work for you and your lifestyle. After our session, you’ll leave with clear, actionable steps to get started and a better understanding of how to fuel your body in a way that supports your long-term health and goals.
