About Carly
Hello there! I'm Carly, a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2019 with a deep love for food and nutrition. As a previous health coach and current dietitian for skilled nursing facilities, I've gained extensive experience in counseling patients through the challenges of weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal issues and more. I know how intimidating and difficult it can be to make the lasting behavior changes necessary for taking control of your health. My goal is to help you see that you can achieve the balance you're looking for without sacrificing a positive relationship with food in the process.
Approach to care
My approach to care is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that sustainable change begins with understanding the whole personānot just their labs or diagnoses. As a HAES-aligned dietitian, I provide weight-inclusive, respectful care that focuses on health-promoting behaviors rather than weight as an outcome. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard and empowered to take ownership of their health. I partner with each individual to co-create realistic, personalized strategies that align with their values and lifestyle. Using motivational interviewing and evidence-based nutrition education, I help patients build confidence and uncover what truly drives them. Whether managing chronic conditions, dysfunctional eating behaviors, or general wellness, I focus on progress over perfection and small, sustainable steps. Iām here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you with compassionate, research-informed guidance.
Your first session with Carly
The first session is all about getting to know you! We'll start with information gathering - talking through your health history, current habits, and what you're hoping to achieve by working with a dietitian - to help us build a clear, comprehensive picture of where you are now and where you want to go. This session is a chance for us to clarify your deeper goals and what matters most to you. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free space where your lived experience is respected and your voice is central. By the end of our session, weāll begin outlining a personalized plan that feels realistic, flexible, and aligned with your values.
