About Carly
Hi there! Iām Carly, a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2019 with a deep love for food and nutrition. My goal is to help you find the balance youāre seekingāwithout sacrificing a positive relationship with food along the way. With a background in health coaching and as a dietitian in skilled nursing facilities, I have extensive experience supporting adults navigating diabetes, cardiovascular disease, GI conditions, weight-related concerns, and dysfunctional eating behaviors. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to make lasting lifestyle changesāespecially when youāre juggling complex health needs. Together, weāll break things down into manageable steps so that moving forward feels realistic, empowering, and maybe even a little joyful.
Approach to care
My counseling style is collaborative, empathetic, and patientācentered, with a strong focus on progress over perfection. I believe that small, gradual changesāpaired with self-compassionāare the true drivers of sustainable behavior change. My approach to care is also weight-neutral, emphasizing health-promoting habits rather than focusing on weight as the primary outcome. Using evidence-based nutrition education and counseling methods, I partner with each individual to co-create practical, personalized strategies that align with their values and preferences. Iām here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you with compassionate, research-informed guidance.
Your first session with Carly
Think of our first session as a āget-to-know-you.ā Weāll dive into your health history, daily habits, and goalsāgiving you space to share what matters most. Iāll listen closely to understand your challenges and priorities, then weāll start crafting a plan that supports your long-term vision.
