About Caryn
Hi, I’m Cary, a Registered Dietitian with eight years of hands-on clinical experience. I earned my B.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from West Virginia University and have spent much of my career in clinical and hospital settings, plus more than 15 years in healthcare, focusing on medical nutrition, diabetes devices, and GI therapeutics. I’m grateful to translate science into practical guidance, and outside of work I love gardening, golfing, and painting.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is collaborative and science-informed. I stay grounded in current research to translate complex guidance into practical steps you can live with. I’m empathetic and warm, guiding you with patience and without judgment as we explore your relationship with food, sleep, stress, and activity. I practice with a health at every size lens, focusing on sustainable behaviors and holistic well being, and I’ll empower you with knowledge to make informed choices.
Your first session with Caryn
Our first session is a calm, welcoming conversation focused on you. We’ll review your medical history, your labs and biometrics, and establish short-term goals together. You don’t need to have everything figured out; I’ll listen, answer questions, and we’ll map a realistic plan that fits your life. The goal is to reduce worry and start moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
