About Casey
My name is Casey, and becoming a clinical dietitian was a career change for me. I earned my first degree in Animal Science with a focus on Equine Studies and Business from Delaware Valley University. From 2007 to 2021, I worked in the equine industry, which I loved. However, I always knew I wanted to go back to school and transition into the medical field. Food has always been an important part of my life, especially after meeting my husband, who attended culinary school. With my passion for cooking and baking, along with the health challenges faced by my son and myself, I decided to pursue a career as a clinical dietitian. I began my studies in 2020 at Immaculata University and graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and completed my internship with Morrison Healthcare in the spring of 2025. I absolutely love working in my clinical setting, and I feel that every patient I meet teaches me something new about being a dietitian.
Approach to care
My approach is both traditional and therapeutic, with a focus on counseling. I believe it's crucial to understand where my patients are mentally and how they manage their environment outside of the hospital or office. Building a strong rapport is very important to me, as it helps me understand where the patient is in their health journey. I also like to think outside the box because many patients have already attempted to change their nutrition habits but have struggled. Having gone through my own health journey and faced challenges along the way, I understand how difficult it can be. I believe in taking one step at a time and remembering that tomorrow is a new day. This mindset is something I try to instill in my patients to help them stay motivated and focused on their progress.
Your first session with Casey
Our first session will feel like the first day of a new journey. The focus will be on getting to know you better! We’ll discuss your nutritional goals, any health concerns you may have, and then create a personalized nutrition plan tailored to those goals and concerns. We’ll also take a look at what a typical day in your life looks like, as this will help guide the development of a plan that truly fits your needs.
