About Catherine

Hi, I’m Catherine. I have 25 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, and I earned my Master of Public Health in Nutrition from Loma Linda University. My work spans clinical hospital and outpatient settings. Additionally, I have worked with long term care licensing. I view nutrition as the foundation for good health, wellbeing, and longevity, and I bring an empathetic, educational approach to every session. Outside of work I love teaching piano, gardening, playing sports, and traveling. I’m excited to meet you and learn what matters most to you.

Approach to care

I base care on evidence, empathy, and partnership. I’m committed to current science and practical steps you can use. My approach is collaborative and direct, offering clear actions, accountability, and real life tools. I practice with a Health at Every Size mindset, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than dieting culture. I see you as a whole person with mental, emotional, and physical needs, and I aim to educate so you can make informed choices that fit your life and values.

Your first session with Catherine

Think of our first session as a conversation, not an evaluation. We’ll review your medical history and what brought you here, then set a couple of short term goals we can start with. I’ll ask about what motivates you, what your goals are, and how I can support you on the journey. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and focused on sustainable change.
