About Catherine
I became a Registered Dietitian after growing up with a sibling who suffered from Epilepsy. Although ultimately he was not a candidate, my family learned about the Ketogenic diet as a potential therapy for treatment of his Epilepsy. I was fascinated by the idea that diet could impact his quality of life in such a critical way and have pursued the most up-to date evidence based guidelines for helping all of my patients to meet their personal goals ever since. I'm looking forward to meeting you and working with you! I live and work in New York City, where I enjoy live music and theater, running on the West Side highway, and cooking up healthy and delicious recipes with my patients and their families. I was a finisher in the 2024 NYC Marathon and am looking forward to running the 2025 Marathon this November. I can help you reach your sports nutrition goals also, based both on my personal and professional experience with running and exercise.
Approach to care
I consider myself an RDN for every age group. I started my career in Miami, FL working with the WIC program, helping women, and their children reach healthy nutrition and lifestyle goals, I have experience in adolescent nutrition working with patients under 18 and their parents to help them build and maintain healthy exercise habits and good food/body relationships. I currently work with with adults living with Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Disease and other chronic diseases where good nutrition can play a role in improved health outcomes. Finally, I have experience with older adults and their caregivers to assist in easing chewing and swallowing difficulty and maintaining weight and lean body mass in the presence of chronic illness. Whichever phase of life you are in, I am here to help you meet your nutrition and health goals.
