About Catherine

I’m a Registered Dietitian (RD) with 20 years experience and a Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management. If you have a diagnosis of diabetes, prediabetes, or gestational diabetes, I’m also a Lifestyle Coach for the Diabetes Prevention Program. I love chatting about the Diabetes Plate Design! If your goal is to learn more about prenatal nutrition, I’ve spent the past decade working with a grant funded preconception/pre-natal research study at a prestigious university health system. I’m also a busy working mom so I understand that sometimes other people and life events take priority over our own health. **Currently only offering Tuesdays 8am to 3pm EST and every other Saturday morning**

Approach to care

There isn’t a ā€œone size fits allā€ approach to care. What works for one person might not work for the next, so I really strive to tailor a plan to meet YOUR needs. We’ll chat about goal setting but I promise that you’ll never have a laundry list of to-do’s! YOU are in the drivers’ seat- I’m your supportive copilot. In addition to brainstorming challenges in your environment, I encourage patients to share their ā€œwinsā€ with me. I’ll be your #1 cheerleader, rock to lean on, and source of evidenced-based nutrition guidelines. So honored that you’d consider taking me along your journey!

Your first session with Catherine

Building trust and establishing a comfortable environment is my priority during our first session. Getting to know someone takes time therefore, scheduling regular follow-up appointments is important. At each visit, we will continue to paint a picture of your life, such as your eating & exercise habits, sleep routine, medical history, use of dietary supplements, and most important- your personal goals. Remember: Rome wasn’t built in a day! If you ask patients who work with me, they describe me as empathic, non-judgmental, and caring. My focus is always on patient centered care. Let’s get to know each other!
