About Catherine
I have been a Registered Dietitian for 12 years and so happy I chose this profession. I have spent the past 12 years in Public Health, specifically working with young children and family nutrition. I am also a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and thoroughly enjoy helping families reach their breastfeeding goals. My husband and I have 2 beautiful children, 8 and 5 years old. We enjoy a quiet life in a rural area and focus our spare time on sports, dance, and quality family time.
Approach to care
My approach to care is mindfulness and grace. I work with patients to make healthy, mindful changes that will improve their health and quality of life, but also teaching them to give themselves grace for the times where life throws some curveballs. Lifestyle change is a process. The results may not always be instant, but the results are always worth it.
Your first session with Catherine
My first session will be a two-way conversation to determine what is important to you, what your goals are, and what your lifestyle allows you to do. We will work together to find small, attainable goals that will result in big changes, and find a pathway to get you to reach them.
Education
Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University, Dietetic Internship completed through St. Louis University with an emphasis on Pediatric Nutrition, and a Masters of Human Nutrition from University of Alabama.
Hobbies
My hobbies include gardening, traveling, reading, and experiencing new things with my children.
