About Catherine
Hi, I'm Catherine. I have 6 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and hold an MS in Nutrition and a BS in Biology. My practice spans private practice, clinical and hospital settings, community health, research, and academia, including the University of the Incarnate Word and Esperanza Eating Disorder Center. I’ve collaborated with teams at San Antonio Botanical Gardens and Nourish Healing Collective, always centered on real, compassionate care. When I’m not working, I love yoga, dancing, art, hiking, and singing. Based in San Antonio, Texas, I’m grateful to guide clients like you with a science-based, warm approach. I’m LD and RD, and I’m here to help you navigate your relationship with food and health.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence with empathy and collaboration. We’ll translate current research into practical steps that fit your life, values, and pace. I work from a Health At Every Size lens, keeping a weight-neutral focus on behaviors, nourishment, and well being rather than dieting culture. We’ll explore your relationship with food, daily routines, sleep, stress, and environment to support sustainable change. My approach is holistic and educational, empowering you with knowledge so you can make informed choices long after our sessions end.
Your first session with Catherine
Our first appointment is all about you. We’ll review your medical history, medications, and lab work, then dive into your relationship with food, your goals, and your daily life. There is no need to have it all figured out before we meet; this is a safe, nonjudgmental space where we learn together. We’ll discuss short term goals and what to prioritize in the coming weeks, and we’ll begin to build a realistic meal plan that respects your preferences and schedule. You’ll leave with clarity and confidence that we’ll move forward together.
