About Charisse
I am a registered and licensed dietitian from South Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. I have been a dietitian for 7 years and have worked as a retail dietitian and in the outpatient setting. Living in South Texas, I have worked with a predominately Hispanic population helping patients manage chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, CVD, thyroid disease, HTN, and SLD. Also, I have had exposure to various eating disorders, GI disorders, including IBS, food sensitivities and allergies, diverticulosis, UC, and Crohn's disease, and sports-specific nutrition throughout my time as an outpatient dietitian.
Approach to care
My counseling approach focuses on individualized recommendations for long-term, mindful dietary and lifestyle changes.
Your first session with Charisse
Our first session will begin with introductions and understanding why you've chosen the Nourish Program. Also, we will review medical and diet history, including any chronic diseases, current medications and supplements, dieting history, and lifestyle habits. With this information, we will begin to build your personalized plan of care to meet your short and long-term health-related goals.
