About Chelsea

Hi! I am an RD committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward improved mental and physical health. After earning my Bachelorā€™s degree in Dietetics from the University of Florida, I completed my clinical training and Masterā€™s degree in Clinical Nutrition at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. My professional experience includes working in an eating disorder treatment center and behavioral health hospital, where I delivered Medical Nutrition Therapy to diverse and challenging populations. My scope of practice specializes in disordered eating behaviors, weight and appetite-related changes, and chronic conditions. I look forward to working with you!

Approach to care

I aim to create a positive, judgment-free environment that emphasizes your strengths. Nutrition should be viewed from a glass-half-full perspective, not as an ā€˜all-or-nothingā€™ or ā€˜one-size-fits-allā€™ concept influenced by diet culture. Food is one of life's greatest connectors which can be enjoyed AND nourish our bodies. My approach follows the ā€˜All Foods Fitā€™ motto and incorporates principles such as Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size (HAES), anti-diet, mindfulness, and nutrition science. I bring an empathetic and realistic counseling style, complemented by a sense of humor and a genuine passion for helping others.

Your first session with Chelsea

The initial assessment will focus on getting to know you and establishing a comfortable, trusting relationship. During this assessment, we will explore your history, eating patterns, challenges, and goals. Based on this evaluation, nutrition education and counseling will be individualized for you. Follow-up sessions will help keep you accountable for meeting realistic goals and offer opportunities for further nutrition counseling and addressing any unique concerns.
