About Cheryl

Hi, I'm Cheryl, a Registered Dietitian with 15 years of experience, based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I earned my MS in Nutrition Science from Oklahoma State University and have spent my career in clinical and hospital settings, from inpatient care to the VA Medical Center, and more recently in outpatient clinics. I'm also credentialed as an LDN. I love cooking, writing, and reading, and I'm always tinkering with new recipes and meal prep ideas. Over the past 15 years I've written newspaper articles and blogs, and I'm currently working on a book about meal planning. I believe each person is unique and deserves a plan that fits their life.

Approach to care

My care philosophy is grounded in evidence and compassion. I work with you in a collaborative way, translating science into practical steps you can actually live day to day. I believe in a direct and action oriented approach, with clear steps and accountability, while staying curious and nonjudgmental. I embrace a weight neutral, HAES-inspired perspective that focuses on behaviors that support health and well being rather than chasing a number on a scale. Holistic care means considering sleep, stress, relationships with food, and lifestyle. Education is at the core so you can make informed choices that last.

Your first session with Cheryl

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll talk through your medical history, diet history, lab work, and lifestyle to understand your goals. Think of it as a get-to-know-you session where I listen and ask questions without pressure. We will establish short-term goals and begin to shape a practical meal plan you can actually follow. You don't need to have it all figured out before we meet; we'll create a plan together with small, doable steps and review biometrics to track progress.
