  • β€œI really enjoyed my first session. I was not a fan of even getting started and ha ls my reservations but Chrissa was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate my diet plan to my needs and really only focus on what is important without making the change feel like a whiplash. She eorked to make sure the diet iworks for me and my currents habits and ensuring that I would be able to frel full and not dtarve in the name of hitting the calories or protein numbers. I am very pleased! β€œ

About Chrissa

My nutrition journey has allowed me to gain control of my health and witness significant improvements in the health of my patients, clients, and students. As a dietitian, my work has included a range of patient needs. My clinical expertise is in treating chronic diseases: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, IBS, PCOS and others. In addition to my work here at Nourish, I am a professor of nutrition and dietetics. I teach soon-to-be dietitians and research the health benefits of strawberries.

Approach to care

First, each person has unique nutrition needs. Individuals understand best their circumstances, health needs, and preferences. The best approach to nutrition care is individual. Second, nutrition interventions are powerful. What you eat has a strong effect on how you feel and how you heal. Third, nutrition interventions affect many aspects of life. Nutrition interventions are ineffective unless families, economics, environment, and lifestyle are considered.
